Denis Sedov is a highly accomplished Russian-born bass singer, now an Israeli citizen, with an impressive international career. He began his operatic journey in 1994 with the Israeli Opera, and by 1995, he became one of only four non-American singers ever invited to join the prestigious Metropolitan Opera Young Artist Development Program. This launched him into the global opera scene, where he has performed in major opera houses such as the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Covent Garden in London, and the Opéra National de Paris.

Sedov’s repertoire is diverse, encompassing roles such as Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro, Méphistophélès in La Damnation de Faust, and Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte. He is also known for his portrayal of Colline in La bohème and Leporello in Don Giovanni. In addition to his operatic performances, Sedov is a versatile concert artist, having performed Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony under Seiji Ozawa during the 1998 Winter Olympics opening ceremony.

Besides his classical work, Sedov enjoys performing lighter music, bossa nova, and Russian folk songs, often accompanying himself on the guitar, and he has developed independent projects performing a blend of tango, samba, and jazz.
